First Tiberium War
History[edit | edit source]
For centuries, North Kurdufan was inhabited by nomads and pastoralists, mainly the Dar Hamid, Dar Hamar, Guamaa, Kababish, Bideriya, Shwehat and including the Yazeed tribes. The area has had almost continuous drought since the mid-1960s. Deforestation led to the destruction of the natural vegetation. NGOs working in the villages of Sudan have tried to rectify the damage.

First Tiberium War[edit | edit source]
In the early days of the First Tiberium War, the military dictator of Sudan had thrown many political leaders of Nod sympathies into two prison camps at Kafia-Kingi and Al-Ubayyid. These camps were under the Global Defense Initiative's control and Seth, the Nod Commander-in-Chief sent two Nod Commanders to the locations where the camps are held.
Like in Kafia-Kingi, Nod forces did battle with GDI prison guards and eventually were able to send an engineer into the prison and capture it. The liberation of the prisoners was the catalyst for the collapse of the military regime ruling Sudan and the installation (or re-installation) of a pro-Nod government.
