The chem buggy is a Nod anti-infantry unit in Command & Conquer: Rivals.

Background[edit | edit source]

The chem buggy is Nod’s first known attempt to mechanize Dr. Giraud’s corrosive Tiberium gas cloud weaponry. The chem buggy’s ability to fire on the move allows aggressive Nod commanders to quickly spray down enemy units with ease.[2]

Abilities[edit | edit source]

Strong against infantry, can attack vehicles, cannot target air. Fires while moving. Leaves Tiberium cloud.

Game unit[edit | edit source]

The chem buggy is a good choice for Jade. The Tiberium cloud can be hit with Jade's catalyst missile to create a large explosion. The more hexes the gas covers, the larger the explosion. The buggy can shoot while moving, and coupled with its fast movement speed, it can quickly spread its gas over a large area, which also makes it valuable in area denial[2].

It is vulnerable to armor and air units. Even Missile Squad can deal with it cost efficiently. The fast movement speed of the buggy can help it to move out of harms way, but this can be countered by using burst damage units, like Orca. If the opponent plays Jade, the clouds produced by the Chem Buggy can be turned against it.

The Tiberium cloud ability allows the buggy to move in, leave the could on an infantry squad and quickly move out, taking only some of the damage.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Very enthusiastic gardener, borderline maniacal.
