Chief Scientists were campaign-only infantry units from Red Alert 3: Uprising. They only appear in the first Soviet mission, Raid on Lost Castle.

Background[edit | edit source]

These Soviet scientists from the Ministry of Experimental Science were instrumental in the development of new weapons for the Soviet Underground. However, they were kidnapped by the FutureTech Corporation and imprisoned in their secret research facility in Romania, where they were forced to develop weapons for FutureTech, most prominently the Pacifier FAV.

After learning of their disappearance, the Soviet Resistance launched a raid on the FutureTech facility and rescued the three scientists there. Even though the scientists were unarmed, they assisted the Soviet forces by providing medical services. At least one of the scientists escaped the base alive.

In-game[edit | edit source]

The Chief Scientist is completely unarmed and must be protected by other units. They are equipped with medical supplies, and automatically heals nearby infantry units, similar to the Allied Engineer's Medical Tent. They travel aboard hover chairs.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Strangely, the Chief Scientist has a large number of unused voice files, including combat quotes and death voices used when attacked by Yuriko Omega.
  • Their hover chairs have the FutureTech logo on them, implying that they used the same hover technology as the Pacifier FAV.
  • The hover chairs are very similar to the one used by Yuri Prime in Yuri's Revenge.
