The Air Field was China's aircraft production structure in Command & Conquer: Generals and its expansion, Zero Hour.
Background[]
The air field was responsible for producing, repairing, and rearming Chinese aircraft, as well as purchasing aircraft upgrades. It was also used to coordinate with allied air force, as shown when it was used to call in American carpet bombing during an operation in Balykchy. Originally, the Air Field consisted of four hangars, two runways, and an air control tower. Later in the GLA Conflict, a helipad was added for the production and repair of Helix transport helicopters.
In-game[]
The air field produces Chinese aircraft and automatically repairs and rearms any landed jet aircraft, up to a maximum of four. Helicopters can be ordered to land at the air field for repairs. This is true even in vanilla Generals, in which the air field did not have a helipad. Jets require one free hanger space for support, otherwise they will run out of fuel in mid-air and crash.
