Command & Conquer: Generals 2 is a total conversion mod for Zero Hour, Tiberium Wars, and Red Alert 3. The mod is based on the cancelled game of the same name. Just as the original Generals 2, it features three playable factions: the Asia-Pacific Alliance, the European Union, and the Global Liberation Army.

Development history[edit | edit source]

In August 2016, the development of the Zero Hour version of the mod was put on hold so the team could focus all of its effort on the Red Alert 3 version.

The first English version of the Red Alert 3 mod was released on 13 February 2017, containing all three playable factions.

On 8 April 2017, images showing the naval units and shipyards of all three factions were released.

Starting from June 2017, the models and textures of vehicles are being overhauled to look more like the Generals 2 units they are based on.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Zero Hour[edit | edit source]

The Zero Hour version currently has 9 unique generals and 3 basic generals:

APA EU GLA
Xiao Ri

Basic General

Julian Battersby

Basic General

Mahmud Abdul-Muhsi

Basic General

Pham Quan

Flame General

Didier Beauchamp

Air Force General

Dr. Thrax

Toxin General

Park Kang-Dae

Infantry General

Egon Schuller

High Tech General

Mose Akinjide

Stealth General

Ma Shen

Nuclear General

Katerina Von Hoftstadter

Each general has a unique set of units, structures and support powers, though much of the contents in the current version are based on vanilla Zero Hour assets.

Red Alert 3[edit | edit source]

The Red Alert 3 version of the mod only contain the three base factions. However, a system which replaces base units with general-specific units using the Top Secret Protocol system is planned. Unlike in the original Generals 2, naval units are planned for all three factions.
