Deploys Flame Troopers

Game unit[edit | edit source]
A transient unit that exists only as long as it takes to deploy the Flame Troopers. It can be deployed on any hex, except pads, already occupied hexes and directly next to the opponent base.
Apart from quickly deploying Flames Troopers where needed while ignoring population cap, the Drill Pod and the package are a great unit blocking option. It is also often used to contest far away pads at the critical moments.
Although deploying the Pod doesn't need a free pop cap, it does take it up once deployed.
This ability allows to build decks without strong anti-personnel infantry, since the Pod can be used as the seventh unit, but the long deployment cooldown and price premium means it has limitations.
The deployed Flame Troopers have the same unit level as Seth.
Any damage that the Drill Pod takes during the deployment will be translated directly to the Flame Squad. If the pod is deployed near an anti-vehicle burst damage unit like Orca or M.L.R.S., the pod might get destroyed completely.
