- Mission briefing

Fish in a Barrel is the fourteenth and penultimate GDI mission of Tiberian Dawn.[1]

Background[edit | edit source]

Kane had successfully evaded the GDI's wrath. But the war in Europe was essentially won by GDI. Knowing this Nod forces had began to retreat to the center of their domain, Bosnia. By consolidating all their forces together they hoped to stage a last stand that would inflict massive losses on the GDI and buy time for their forces elsewhere in the world.

A powerful convoy of Nod vehicles leaving Belgrade was of particular concern to the GDI. Mark Jamison Sheppard gave James Solomon the urgent task of eliminating this convoy before it could escape to Bosnia. It was as he described it, "Fish in a barrel time".

Events[edit | edit source]

James Solomon was given a hastily assembled force and immediately set about to the task of launching an assault that would eliminate the convoy. Though initially encountering Nod artillery in the area he was not deterred.

Ambushing the convoy he destroyed all Nod vehicles including the new tanks that he had not expected to face.

Aftermath[edit | edit source]

The destroyed Nod forces were heading towards Sarajevo where GDI located Kane hiding out in his Temple of Nod. The endgame of the First Tiberium War was now in sight.
