Boom, baby, boom!
- Grenadiers when attacking

The Grenadier is a GDI common infantry squad unit in Command & Conquer: Rivals.

Description[edit | edit source]

The Grenadier has been a common sight is GDI armies since the very first Tiberium War. The modern Grenadier Squad is equipped with stielhandgranate-style grenades for increased range and EMP charged payload which can slow down even the largest enemy ground vehicles.

Attacks against vehicles slow down their Attack Speed by 25% and Movement Speed by 60% for 0.7 seconds.

Abilities[edit | edit source]

Effective against vehicles, cannot attack air. Reveals adjacent stealthed units.

Game unit[edit | edit source]

Grenadiers excel at stopping vehicle threat, literally. Not only do they have considerable damage output, they reduce movement speed of vehicles, which makes it very hard to escape their grenades.

Their rather sluggish movement speed means they are more fit to defend positions, as they are not suited to chase down vehicles.

Being specialty unit, Grenadiers are vulnerable to air and infantry. Put or MG Squad or Sniper Team behind them, and that should take care of infantry threat.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Speaking in booming voice. When idle juggles the grenades.
