The Lincoln Memorial is one of the monuments located in Washington, D.C.. The memorial is dedicated to US President Abraham Lincoln, who had been assassinated by Confederate supporter John Wilkes Booth just after the end of the American Civil War.

Third World War[]
During the Third World War, the Soviet Union invaded the United States. One of the first cities to be captured was Washington, D.C.. The Lincoln Memorial was partially damaged during the Soviet advance into the city by the time of Hail to the Chief but was subsequently repaired by the Allies for extra credits. To add insult to injury for the American people the Soviets replaced the head of Lincoln with Stalin's on the statue.
In the non-canon Soviet campaign, the Lincoln Memorial was kept in good condition during General Vladimir's occupation of Washington DC. When Vladimir was declared a traitor, Yuri sent the Soviet Commander to arrest him. The Soviet Commander can choose to destroy the Lincoln Memorial for more resources.
Behind the scenes[]
Such action as replacing head of Lincoln with head of Stalin is highly improbable for Soviets; Lincoln was always held in high regard in USSR as progressive and forward-thinking president, who fought for people's rights against the slavery.
