The Lincoln Memorial is one of the monuments located in Washington DC. The memorial is dedicated to US President Abraham Lincoln, who had been assassinated by a Confederate supporter just after the end of the American Civil War.

Third World War
During the Third World War, the Soviet Union invaded the United States. One of the first cities to be captured was Washington DC. Lincoln Memorial was partially damaged during the Soviet advance into the city by the time of operation: Hail to the Chief but was subsequently repaired by the Allies for extra credits. When the Soviets fully occupied the city from the Allies, the memorial's infrastructure was greatly weakened. To add insult to injury for the American people the Soviets had a head of Stalin on Lincoln's statue. When the Allies liberated Washington DC, Lincoln Memorial was repaired once more, this time cutting off Stalin's head as a mark of their successful liberation.
In the non-canon Soviet campaign, the Lincoln Memorial was kept in good condition during General Vladmir's occupation of Washington DC. When Vladmir was declared a traitor by Yuri and sent his best general to arrest him, the commander destroyed the Lincoln Memorial for more resources.
