The Nile is the world's longest river in both Egypt and on Earth. Since the Suez Canal was captured by the Brotherhood, GDI naval forces used the Nile to get to the end of it and destroy the Nod forces along here. One of these Nod forces was an abandoned base devastated by Aircraft Carriers and Gunboats before Nod reinforcements believed GDI was here, but it turns out to be one of their own.
First Tiberium War[edit | edit source]
In the early middle of the First Tiberium War, France and England had lost the Suez Canal since 1956. Now with the help of the United States, the coalition's huge Navy of Gunboats and Aircraft Carriers travelled through the Nile. Their objective was to destroy Nod forces before reaching Aswan and return to the Mediterranean Sea by awaiting naval strictions to leave the Nile. Meanwhile, Kane sent his Nod Commander to investigate what happened to the Nod base at Luxor which was found to be abandoned and devastated by the GDI naval contingent heading back to the Mediterranean. The Nod forces rebuilt their abandoned base and destroyed enemy resistance at Luxor killing the GDI Commander there in his Construction Yard before moving up to capture the rest of the River Nile, now full of Tiberium and reach Cairo. Should the GDI naval forces go on and by now, Nod forces would be too late to reach them when capturing the capital city of Egypt.
