The power plant was the standard power production facility used by the Allies and Soviets during the Second World War.

Background[edit | edit source]

During the Second World War, both the Soviets and Allies used identical power plants that followed a basic building architecture. Basic and advanced power plants share the same aesthetic designs, taken from tested and standard civilian power plant schematics generally used at the time.

Legacy[edit | edit source]

After the war, the Allies replaced them with their own power plant while the Soviets switched to a new tesla-powered reactor.

In-game[edit | edit source]

The power plant produces 100 power units. This amount is less than sufficient to run a large base, meaning that the more buildings a base has, the more power plants it requires to maintain full functionality. It is best to build advanced power plants instead, as they produce a significantly larger power amount.

Power output is directly related to the power plant's condition, so they must be protected from enemy fire.

Tiberium Universe[edit | edit source]

It formed a basis for the new power plant in First Tiberium War.

Red Alert Universe[edit | edit source]

The Allies replaced these plants with a more efficient design, while the Soviets replaced them with cheaper Tesla reactors.
