The radar tower is a Soviet structure in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge which provides a radar overview of the battlefield and acts as the tier 2 tech structure. In Yuri's Revenge, it can call spy planes.
Overview
The Soviet radar tower filled the role of the radar domes used in Second World War. Its external design was relatively primitive, consisting of a simple structure with one larger and one smaller radar dish which constantly rotate when the power input is sufficient. Initially, it lacked any special features, but in the second iteration of the Third World War, it was able to call spy planes to uncover uncharted parts of the battlefield.
If the radar tower is infiltrated by a spy, the owner's radar system will reset the map overview to show only what is seen by allied units at the time of restart. The radar will also deactivate if there is insufficient power in the base, however the data inside the radar will remain unchanged until reactivation. Thus, all previously explored areas will be shown after the reactivation.
After the war, with the Cherdenko's trip to 1927, its equipment was integrated with the construction yard in the third iteration of the war.
