The space command uplink building appears in Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath and grants access to several support powers.

Background[edit | edit source]

This self-contained launch platform allows GDI to deploy high tech support weapons and send Zone troopers to the battlefield from orbit. EMP weapons called Shockwave artillery can also be utilised[1].

In-game[edit | edit source]

It grants a commander three important aids, the first being the ability to launch shockwave artillery ballistic missiles, based on sonic emitter technology, at foes across the battlefield.

The second is the ability to call in Zone trooper drop pods from space to land at any location. After a brief cooldown time following re-entry, three squads of veteran Zone Troopers will be at the commander's immediate disposal in the drop zone, allowing for the ultimate in surprise attacks.

The third is its large sight radius - placed near the front of the base, it can allow a commander plenty warning as to any unstealthed units approaching his or her base and thus plenty of distance to decide how to deal with it accordingly.

In Kane's Wrath, it can also call down orbital strikes and supersonic air strikes. If the player is leading ZOCOM forces, then Zone raiders will be deployed instead of Zone troopers.

Support powers provided[edit | edit source]

Icon Support power Description
CNCTW Shockwave Artillery Cameo.png Shockwave Artillery Shockwave Artillery shells not only do damage to opposing units and structures, but they also unleash a crippling EMP attack. This power costs 2000 credits and has a cooldown of 3:00. The support power fires 12 shells in a circular pattern. Each shell does 400 grenade damage with a splash radius of 50 and also has a 10 second EMP timer.
CNCKW Supersonic Air Attack Cameo.png Supersonic air strike (Kane's Wrath only) A beacon sends GDI Supersonic Fighters screaming in to deliver massive anti-air damage to all nearby air units. It is especially effective against large numbers of light aircraft. This power costs 2000 credits and has a cooldown of 5:00.
CNCKW Orbital Strike Cameo.png Orbital Strike (Kane's Wrath only) Marked by a brilliant red laser beam, the Orbital Strike sends a barrage of metal slugs down from space to impact on ground targets. This power costs 3000 credits and has a cooldown of 7 minutes.
CNCTW Zone Trooper Drops Cameo.png Zone Trooper Drop Pods Three veteran Zone Trooper Squads come hurtling down from space to inflict damage on the battlefield. Their pod is somewhat vulnerable upon landing until the troopers deploy. This power costs 4500 credits and has a cooldown of 2:00. (GDI only).
CNCKW Zone Raider Drop Pod Cameo.png Zone Raider Drop Pods Three veteran Zone Raider Squads come hurtling down from space to inflict damage on the battlefield. Their pod is somewhat vulnerable upon landing until the Zone Raiders deploy. This power costs 4500 credits and has a cooldown of 2:00. (ZOCOM only).
