Tao (transmission cutting out): This is base commander Tao reporting! Number of-... enemy ground-... are hitting us all over the place. They caught u-... by surprise! We're severely outnumbered!... All GDI forces have been destroyed! Repeat, send reinforcements right away!
Solomon: Goddammit! Makes no sense, hotspots everywhere. Why Southwest Sector 9?
Personnel: Someone's jamming the secure channel sir.
Kane (interfering): You'll come for the sunshine, but you'll stay for the people.
Solomon: What the hell is this? It's not possible! Punch up the main screen!
Kane reveals himself to Solomon.
Kane: If I'm cut, do I not bleed?[note 1] It would be a sad error in judgment, General Solomon, to mistake me for a corpse...
Solomon: My judgment is sound, Kane. And I'm not afraid of ghosts nor you.
Kane: Perhaps you should be. I've seen the future - our Tiberium future - and as you watch this battle just beginning to unfold, I've already seen the final act! It is my destiny to lead the way for all mankind.
Solomon: Mankind has forgotten you Kane!
Kane laughs manically before his feed is cut out.
Personnel: New signal sir, he's in the southwest.
Solomon: Get me McNeil...
Southwestern Training Facility[]
[GLOBAL DEFENSE INITIATIVE]
[SOUTHWESTERN TRAINING FACILITY]
McNeil is practicing his combat skills.
McNeil: Hello recon, what's the intel up ahead?
McNeil begins firing on a target, but gets playfully interrupted by Chandra.
McNeil: Chandra, you son of a bitch!
Chandra: Solomon needs you, Kodiak's waiting.
McNeil and Chandra get onboard the Kodiak.
Brink: General Solomon on secure channel 4!
Solomon: Good to see you again Mac. I wish it were under better circumstances.
McNeil: It's a light show alright.
Solomon: It's more than that, it's Kane.
McNeil: Sir?
Solomon: We lost contact with Phoenix at 0800 Zulu. I'm not losing that base Mac. I'll give you a squad of our best jump troopers to clear the way for your arrival. Good luck commander.
Chandra: Your game's afoot!
McNeil: Let's kick some ass!
The Kodiak flies towards Phoenix base, while the Philadelphia deploys drop pods of troops.

- GDI soldier: It's Nod sir, they came out of nowhere! We have to get back to the base and rebuild the refinery and barracks before they hit us again!
