The Trinity site was the location of the Trinity test, the first detonation of a nuclear weapon in history. It was also the location of Albert Einstein's time travel experiment.

History[]

Located 230 miles south of Los Alamos, the Trinity site was once the USAAF Alamogordo Bombing and Gunnery Range. The location was chosen for its isolation, flat ground, and lack of windy conditions.

Lead physicist of the Manhattan Project, J. Robert Oppenheimer, named the test "Trinity", a reference to the John Donne poem "Holy Sonnets: Batter my heart, three-person'd God".

On July 16, 1945, the "Gadget" - the first nuclear device in history - was successfully detonated at the site, marking the beginning of the Atomic Age.

Sometime in 1946, Professor Albert Einstein and his assistant conducted a time travel experiment in Trinity. The experiment was successful, and Einstein traveled back in time to Landsberg, Germany in 1924, erasing Adolf Hitler from the timeline before his rise to power.
