Argentina, officially the Argentine Republic, is a country in South America and is a federation of 23 provinces and the autonomous city of Buenos Aires, bordered by Chile to the west and south, Bolivia and Paraguay to the north and Brazil and Uruguay to the northeast. Its the second largest country in both South America and the Latin America region, with capital city is Buenos Aires.
History[]
Argentina is the successor state to the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata, an overseas colony of the Spanish Empire. Argentina declared independence during the Argentine War of Independence, which was followed by the Argentine Civil Wars during the first half of the 19th century. During the second half of the 19th century Argentina became a magnet for foreign capital and immigrants, becoming one the largest exporters of beef and wheat in the world.

Red Alert universe[]
During the Third World War (I), Argentina appears blue on the map (indicating it is either neutral or in the Allies) until the mission Deep Sea where it changes red, suggesting the Soviets/WSA forces have taken over the country. It reappears blue in mission Sun Temple, indicating the Allies have liberated the country from the Soviets.
