Template:RA2CC The Hind transport is a Soviet helicopter cut from Red Alert 2. According to the game's INI files, it was supposed to be available to Cuba only.
Overview
The Hind transport is equipped with specially designed towing equipment, allowing it to carry vehicles across the battlefield. It can also carry infantry (up to 10 soldiers) and fire on any ground and air unit with its machine gun, similar to the one placed on the NightHawk Transport. It is invisible to enemy radar.
Residual data and concept art show that it was supposed to be a Carryall-type unit that could pick up vehicles and ships up to and including the Soviet dreadnought, but it would not be able to actually release them back down again, as the craft could only land on the ground.
The cameo will appear differently than the image provided above, as the Red Alert 2 beta used the same cameo palette as Tiberian Sun, which makes the final Red Alert 2 palette display the cameo improperly.
Trivia
- Its propellers do not rotate due to their integration with the main body. Mods often separate them.
