The Ladder is the main location where battles take place. Climbing the ladder brings several benefits:

  • earn credits and experience by playing matches,
  • complete bounties by playing matches,
  • earn experience and crates by reaching league milestones,
  • participate in races and win crates,
  • climb event leagues.

There are different ladders for GDI and Nod ladders, but both factions can play against each other.

Match making[]

The match maker decides on how to match players based on medals and partially on the region players are in. It doesn't consider unit levels, player levels or deck layouts. In normal battle players can win or lose 8-32 medals[1]

Challenge matches[]

If a battle is considered a challenge match, then the losing side doesn't lose medals. If challenge match is won, it gives extra experience.

Challenge matches are triggered when:

  • Opponent has unknown (to the player) units or commanders[2] in their deck.
  • Opponent is 200 medals ahead[1].
  • Opponent's deck has on average 1.5 levels advantage. This won't trigger if the player is not within 4 levels of the league cap[3].
Medals are not a criteria for Challenge Battles in Tiberium League

Races[]

Every Saturday morning (9 am Pacific Standard Time) there are races. When the player play a game in the ladder, it will get paired up with ten other players roughly in the same position in the ladder[4]. After about three days, players are rewarded based on their rank among the race peers. Early on the rewards were unit skins, currently it's crates.

Season reset[]

Ranked seasons begin on the first Wednesday of a new month.
- Game tip

Once every month the player rank is reset back to Bronze III[5] and for each rank they have gained during the season they are rewarded 150 medals.
