Benin, officially the Republic of Benin, is a country in West Africa, bordered by Togo to the west, by Nigeria to the east and by Burkina Faso and Niger to the north. It was one of the countries where the Brotherhood of Nod attempts to steal a GDI nuclear detonator during the First Tiberium War.

Benin became a GDI affiliate during the First Tiberium War. It was one, along with the Ivory Coast and Nigeria, believed to have a nuclear detonator imported by GDI in an attempt to sway a few local political leaders. Should the Nod Commander choose to attack Benin, his task force manages to steal the unpacked detonator from a GDI base near Porto-Novo.[1] The country was soon taken over by the Nod offensive from North Africa.
Third Tiberium War[]
By 2047, Benin became part of the African Yellow Zone.
