Template:Ren2 The Soviet barracks is a major building of the Soviets, that was supposed to appear in Renegade 2.
Background
Based on the original Soviet barracks, the building has a massive statue of a proud Soviet trooper on it and is the main source of infantry for the faction.
Development
As shown below, the building was the first prototype for a completely physics-driven destruction sequence and was supposed to feature prominently in the finished game.
Behind the Scenes
The building was supposed to appear in Renegade 2, but with the change of focus and later cancellation, it never made it past prototype stages.
