Will Made Flesh is the penultimate mission in the campaign of Kane's Wrath.

Plot

The year is 2052. Five years after being critically damaged by Alexa Kovacs's computer virus, LEGION has finally reawakened. Kane explained to the AI that the Tacitus was responsible for waking it, and that the Brotherhood of Nod is a shadow of its former self after its apparent defeat during the Third Tiberium War. However, he also stated that this was the way it was meant to be, since "only the chosen few will be allowed into the promised land."

Kane then revealed to LEGION the Marked of Kane, a cyborg army hidden in underground bunkers in Red Zones in Russia and South East Asia, having remained dormant since the Second Tiberium War. He tasked LEGION to awaken them and give them purpose.

Taking command of Nod forces, LEGION successfully activated all four control nodes and protected them from GDI forces long enough for the activation sequence to complete. This caused a massive cyborg army to emerge from under the local GDI base and slaughter GDI troops in the area.

Walkthrough

KW WMF GDI base

The GDI base at the center of the map

(This walkthrough assumes Hard difficulty)

You start with a small Tier 1 base near a patch of blue Tiberium. There are two green Tiberium fields nearby, one to the north and one to the west, but expanding to them to early may provoke a large GDI attack. Start by building a second refinery near the starting Tiberium field, then train a saboteur. Capture the Tiberium spike to the north. GDI will constantly try to recapture any spikes you capture with engineers, so build a shredder turret on the nothern edge of your build radius to defend it.

Build an operations center, upgrade your power plants with liquid Tiberium core, then fortify your base by building all three types of turrets near the civilian houses close to your base. Do not garrison forces into the houses, since GDI can easily take them out with grenadier squads. If you have the funds, build a tech center and further bolster your defenses with some Obelisks.

Once your main base is secure, build five more rocket squads and scout out the Tiberium field to the north. It will be guarded by two Predator tanks, destroy them. Unpack your MCV and redeploy it near the Tiberium field, then build a refinery there. Defend your new refinery with some more turrets and Obelisks and expand your base with either a war factory or a Redeemer engineering facility and an air tower. Research the laser capacitors upgrade at the tech center and queue up three Avatars, around five Specters, and as many Venoms as you can afford.

GDI will eventually send a massive way of Predator tanks and Zone troopers at you, sometimes complemented by Slingshots, Orcas, and/or Pitbulls. Set the Specters to aggressive stance and use them to soften up the ground units, take out the troopers with your Venoms, then destroy everything else with Avatars. Once GDI exhausts its attack force, you are ready to move on the central GDI base. Sacrifice a few Venoms to scout out the base, then destroy the defenses using your Specters. Prioritize destroying the GDI power plants to shut down the defenses. Cover the Specters with Venoms and Avatars. You may also want to build a Redeemer for taking on the base, since it outranges GDI's Sonic emitters.

Once the GDI base has been destroyed, simply build up more forces. Cover each Marked of Kane control node with enough anti-ground and anti-air forces before capturing them. Use an Emissary or an MCV to expand ground control near them and build defenses if you want to. With the central base gone, defending the control nodes should be relatively easy.

Trivia

  • During this mission, a Nod soldier can be overheard saying "Cyborgs, man! They freak me out!" This is a reference to the Tiberium Wars mission Cologne, in which a GDI soldier can be heard saying "Aliens, man! They freak me out!"
